🎶 Studio Guidelines for Success

To ensure every student receives the highest quality of instruction and steady progress, the studio operates on a few key foundations:

Tailored Instruction: No cookie-cutter methods here. Every lesson includes personalized materials to support the exact style of music you want to play.

Consistent Weekly Growth: Monthly tuition reserves your dedicated weekly lesson time.

The “Busy Adult” Missed Lesson Perk: Life happens! If you cannot attend your scheduled live lesson, you don’t lose your spot. Instead, I will create and send you a personalized video lesson with tailored assignments, feedback, and practice goals for that week. (Because of this feature, no rescheduling, refunds, or credits are needed!)

Holidays & Breaks: The studio takes time to rest and recharge. No lessons are held on Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas through New Year’s week, and Spring Break. (A complete studio calendar is provided upon enrollment).

Student Success Stories

Diane, Adult Beginner

“Lydia and I have been making music together for over a year now! I have always wanted to learn to play the piano and now that my children are grown and out on their own I have the time. As I am learning the piano for my own enjoyment I do not adhere to a rigid schedule. Lydia makes learning a joy! She is very knowledgeable, flexible, upbeat and fun! I look forward to the time we spend together! It turns out that you can teach an old dog new tricks!”

Kim Gordon, Student & Bride

“If you are looking for a piano/harp teacher in the Carroll County/Westminster area, Lydia Bandy is the one! I took piano lessons with her when I was 7 up until I was 16 and would have continued lessons with her until my senior year of high school if the opportunity was there.

My experience with her as my teacher was nothing short of wonderful and beneficial. My skills grew quickly, and she made sure I knew the foundations of music. Learning piano lessons from her helped me get into college to study music. There was a good group of students who came in not knowing basic piano skills (which was necessary for graduation) or knowing any foundations of music theory.

Thanks to Lydia, I was ahead of the game and came in at a more advanced level. I am now a singer/songwriter and if I hadn’t taken piano lessons from her when I was younger, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Everything I know about music stems from my piano lessons with her.

To top it all off, Lydia has such a fun and friendly personality. She never got frustrated or angry with me when I wasn’t progressing like I should. She was always patient and never gave up on me as a student. She is a wonderful teacher and an amazing person! You won’t regret learning piano from her!”

Kris Roeder, Parent

“Over the past 8 years, Lydia has instructed my children on the piano. Not only has she taught them a skill that will last a lifetime and bring them—and others!—much joy, she has instilled in them a deep appreciation for all types of music.

Hiring Lydia as their piano teacher was one of the best decisions my husband and I ever made for our children’s welfare…She has helped them grow as musicians, as artists and as people.

Lydia is a wonderful and gifted piano teacher who relates completely with her students, and brings a fresh perspective to teaching. Her talent and her teaching approach have opened a whole new world up to my kids, making them more confident, more creative, more disciplined and more focused…Thank you, Lydia!”

Ruth Ready, Piano Student & Bride

“Lydia Bandy was my wedding pianist…I was very impressed with how well she played, especially without knowing her personally at the time or hearing her play before. Lydia was very flexible and willing and able to play all of my requests. I was very happy with the outcome. I highly recommend Lydia as your pianist at any event you may have.”
